Laundry Butler Vancouver Terms and Conditions
Laundry Butler Vancouver is a secure service, and we make sure both you and your property are well protected.
1. Agreement Overview
By placing an order with Laundry Butler Vancouver through our website or over the phone, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not submit an order.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your order will apply. Customers will be notified of changes via email or other communication channels.
2. Service Scope
Laundry Butler Vancouver provides wash, dry, and fold services only. We do not offer dry cleaning or ironing.
All items are washed in cold water and dried on a standard heat setting. Whites and colours are separated to reduce the risk of colour transfer.
A $35/bag (standard trash 49 litre bag) minimum charge applies to all laundry orders. Each bag is charged at a standard rate, no matter how full, so you can enjoy hassle-free laundry without worrying about the details.
3. Cancellations and Changes
You may cancel or modify your order any time before the scheduled pickup by contacting us at laundrybutlervancity@gmail.com.
Rescheduling within two hours of the pickup window or outside regular business hours may incur additional fees and is subject to availability.
Missed pickups or deliveries will incur a $10 redelivery fee per attempt.
4. Pickup and Delivery
We strive to collect and deliver laundry within the chosen time slots. However, exact timing cannot be guaranteed.
If a customer is unavailable at the scheduled delivery time, a $10 redelivery fee will apply for each additional attempt.
If payment is not received before the scheduled delivery, Laundry Butler Vancouver reserves the right to withhold your laundry until full payment is made. If payment is still outstanding 15 days after the invoice date, a storage fee of $25 CAD per day will apply.
If no effort is made by the customer to resolve payment within 30 days, we reserve the right to dispose of, donate, or otherwise manage the items at our discretion, with no further liability.
5. Payment Terms
Full payment must be made upon receiving your invoice. Laundry will not be returned until payment is completed.
Laundry Butler Vancouver reserves the right to automatically charge the card on file for any unpaid invoice amounts.
If payment is not received within 15 days of invoicing, we may:
- Withhold delivery of your laundry
- Charge a $25 CAD daily storage fee
If no effort is made within 30 days to settle the balance or retrieve your items, Laundry Butler Vancouver reserves the right to dispose of, donate, or otherwise manage the items at our discretion, without liability.
6. Liability and Damage Protection
Although loss or damage is rare, Laundry Butler Vancouver offers limited protection. We will credit customers up to $35 CAD per item, with a maximum of $150 CAD per order, based on the used value (up to 60% of the original retail price).
To qualify:
- Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of receiving your laundry
- Requests must be sent to laundrybutlervancity@gmail.com
- Include a description of the issue and photos if possible
We do not accept liability for:
- Shrinkage due to fabric construction, age, or normal laundering
- Existing stains
- Delicate or specialty items
- Embellishments (sequins, beads, prints) coming off during regular washing
- Items marked “dry clean only” but washed at customers’ request
- Holes, tears, thinning fabric, or wear from regular use and machine washing
- Colour bleeding, even though we separate lights and darks
- Items left in pockets (jewelry, cash, cards, personal items, pens/markers, makeup etc.), which may be lost, damaged, or damage the laundry garments
- Sentimental or irreplaceable items
- Items valued at over $300 unless declared in advance
- Suede, leather, silk blends (unless approved prior)
- Items with glued prints, vinyl, heat transfers
Compensation is not guaranteed and is assessed at the sole discretion of Laundry Butler Vancouver. Maximum liability is 5× the cleaning charge for that item.
7. Quality Guarantee
We carefully inspect all garments before returning them. If you’re not satisfied, contact us within 24 hours of delivery, and we may offer a complimentary re-cleaning of the affected items.
To request a re-clean:

- Provide a description and include photos if applicable
- Our team will coordinate a suitable time for pickup
Requests made after 24 hours will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.
8. Laundry Acceptance Guidelines
To protect the health and safety of our staff and ensure a clean working environment, all customers must certify that their laundry meets the following standards:
- Free of Infestation: Laundry must not contain or originate from environments infested with bed bugs, fleas, cockroaches, or any other pests.
- Sanitary Condition: Laundry must not include biohazardous materials such as feces, urine, blood, or vomit beyond what is considered normal from regular household use.
- No Excessive Pet Hair: Items should be reasonably free of excessive pet hair that may damage equipment or pose a health risk.
If laundry is found to violate these standards:
- A $20 quality handling fee will be charged. This will also cover the cost of pickup and delivery for returning the items.
- The affected items may be returned unwashed and marked “as is.”
9. Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, and any disputes will be handled under Canadian jurisdiction.
If any provision is deemed unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining sections will remain valid and enforceable.
10. Use of Personal Information
We collect your personal information to:
- Fulfill your laundry service
- Process payments
- Provide service updates and promotions (you may opt out at any time)
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except where required to fulfill your order.
Intellectual Property
Laundry Butler owns all intellectual property rights to the website, booking app, and materials. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We understand that plans can change. To ensure efficient scheduling and route planning, we require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for all cancellations or rescheduling requests.
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled pickup will not incur a fee.
- Cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup will be subject to a one-bag minimum service charge.
- Same-day cancellations, missed pickups, or situations where laundry is not ready or access is unavailable will be charged the full scheduled service fee.
